In a sunny woodland where tall trees whisper and ferns uncurl, a cheerful quokka named Quinn lives a life of curiosity and exploration. One morning, while hopping near a bubbling brook, he discovers a small red camera with a brown leather strap hidden in the grass. When he tries it out, the camera does not capture flowers as he expects; instead, it produces a picture of a mother bird feeding her chicks. Quinn realises the camera captures moments of kindness, and he sets off to find more.
With his green satchel and his friends beside him, Quinn begins collecting photographs of generous deeds. Pip the rabbit shares ripe berries from a woven basket, Bramble the hedgehog gently frees a ladybug from a spider's web, and Tilly the squirrel is helped down from a high branch. As the satchel grows heavy with pictures, Quinn and his friends decide to create a friendship gallery on the trunk of a large oak tree, so that everyone in the woodland can see the kindness around them.
This gentle children's tale follows Quinn and his companions as they learn to notice and value everyday acts of helping and sharing. It is suited to young readers and to adults reading aloud, offering a simple story about friendship, observation and the quiet rewards of kindness.

The Quokka's Camera - Author : Aysel Banu YAVUZAL
In a sunny woodland where tall trees whispered and ferns uncurled, lived a cheerful quokka named Quinn. His goldenbrown fur glowed like honey, and his cream belly was as soft as a cloud. Quinn loved to explore, his little black nose twitching at every new smell. One morning, while hopping near a bubbling brook, he spotted something shiny in the grass. It was a small red camera with a brown leather strap, just waiting to be found. 1
Quinn picked up the camera and turned it over in his tiny paws. "I wonder who left this here?" he said. He decided to try it out. He pointed it at a patch of blue flowers and pressed the button. Click! Out popped a picture, but it wasn't of flowers. It showed a mother bird feeding her chicks in a nest above. "Oh my!" Quinn gasped. "This camera takes pictures of kindness!" His big dark eyes sparkled with wonder. 2
Quinn hung the camera around his neck and slipped the photo into his green satchel. He couldn't wait to find more kindness. As he hopped along the winding path, he met his friend Pip the rabbit. Pip was carrying a woven basket full of ripe red berries. "Hello, Quinn!" Pip called, his long ears standing tall. "Would you like some berries? I have plenty to share." Quinn smiled and raised his camera. Click! A picture popped out, showing Pip offering the basket with a generous grin. 3
Quinn showed Pip the photo. "Look! My camera captures kind moments like you sharing your berries!" Pip's nose twitched with delight. "That's wonderful!" he said. "Let's find more kindness together." So Quinn and Pip set off through the woodland, their eyes peeled for helpful deeds. They hadn't gone far when they heard a tiny sneeze. Behind a bush, they found Bramble the hedgehog, his blue spectacles askew and his orange scarf tangled in twigs. 4
Bramble was trying to free a ladybug that had gotten stuck in a spider's web. "Hold still, little one," Bramble murmured gently. With careful paws, he untangled the delicate threads. The ladybug buzzed thankfully and flew away. Quinn quickly snapped a picture. Click! The photo showed Bramble's kind face as he helped the tiny creature. "Bramble, you're so gentle," said Quinn. Bramble adjusted his spectacles and smiled. "Kindness is its own reward," he said wisely. 5
As they continued, they heard a cry from above. "Help! I'm stuck!" It was Tilly the squirrel, her bushy tail with its purple ribbon bow caught in a high branch. She had been trying to reach some acorns. Pip and Quinn looked up, worried. "Don't worry, Tilly!" called Pip. "We'll get you down!" Bramble thought for a moment. "Tilly, use your ladder to climb down carefully," he suggested. Tilly wiggled free and scrambled down her wooden ladder to safety. 6
Quinn captured the moment Tilly reached the ground, her amber eyes shining with relief. Click! The photo showed Tilly hugging Pip and Bramble. "Thank you, friends!" she chirped. "You're the best!" Quinn's satchel was filling up with wonderful pictures. "Your camera is amazing, Quinn," said Tilly. "It shows how kind everyone is." Quinn beamed. "I know! I want to share these memories with everyone." Bramble nodded. "That's a lovely idea." 7
Quinn hopped from place to place, snapping photos of kindness everywhere. He photographed a mouse helping a beetle carry a heavy seed. He captured a duckling sharing its bread with a fish. Each click brought a new warm memory. His green satchel grew heavy with pictures. "There are so many kind moments!" Quinn exclaimed. "But my satchel is getting full. What should I do with all these photos?" 8
Bramble stroked his chin thoughtfully. "Why not make a gallery?" he suggested. "A place where everyone can see these kindness pictures." Quinn's eyes lit up. "A friendship gallery!" he cheered. "That's perfect!" Pip and Tilly agreed to help. They found a cozy clearing with a large oak tree and decided to hang the photos on its trunk. Tilly brought her wooden ladder to reach the higher branches, and Pip gathered vines to use as string. 9
Quinn carefully arranged the photos on the oak tree. Each picture showed a different act of kindness: sharing, helping, comforting. Friends from all over the woodland came to see. "Look at me helping the ladybug!" Bramble chuckled. "There's Pip sharing berries!" Tilly pointed. "And you, Tilly, being rescued!" Pip laughed. Everyone felt warm and happy seeing the kind moments captured. Quinn's heart swelled with joy. 10
As the sun began to set, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink, the woodland friends gathered around the gallery. "These memories are wonderful," said Bramble. "But they're even better because we're sharing them together." Quinn nodded. "I learned that memories are most meaningful when shared with friends." Pip hugged Quinn. "Thank you for capturing our kindness, Quinn." Tilly added, "And for reminding us to be kind every day." 11
Quinn looked at his camera, then at his friends. "I think this camera was meant to be found by someone who would share its magic," he said. "And I'm so glad it was me." He took one last photo of the group hugging under the gallery. Click! The picture showed all their smiling faces, framed by the kindness pictures behind them. "This one is my favorite," Quinn said.
