Tilly is a small sea turtle, about the size of a dinner plate, who lives in a bright blue bay where the water is warm and clear. Every morning she swims out to explore the waving seaweed and watch the friendly fish, always wondering what lies beyond her home. One day, near a cluster of rocks, she finds a piece of old, worn cloth caught in the seaweed, covered with strange lines and symbols. When she spreads it out on a flat rock, she discovers it is a map showing a twisting path through the ocean that ends at a bright coral garden. Tilly wants to follow it, but she is afraid to go alone.
Just then a small remora fish named Fin darts past, his silver-blue scales and glowing turquoise stripes lighting the water around him. Fin recognizes the map and explains that reaching the hidden coral garden means following the ocean currents, which flow like rivers in the sea. He offers to help, and the two set off together. The journey tests them both: the current is fast and frightening, rough water pushes them off course, and at one point they lose their way entirely. Tilly learns to trust the map and to ask for help, while Fin discovers that a small friend can be a strong one when the water turns rough.
This gentle children's tale follows a single journey shared by two friends and is suited to young readers who enjoy stories about the sea, small adventures and working together. Through Tilly and Fin's travels, it shows how friends can guide one another when someone is lost and how every journey is easier when it is made together.

A Chapter from the Book
The Little Sea Turtle's Map - Author : Aysel Banu YAVUZAL
Tilly the little sea turtle lived in a bright blue bay where the water was warm and clear. She was about the size of a dinner plate, with a small rounded shell and warm amber eyes. Every morning she swam out to explore the waving seaweed and watch the friendly fish. She loved to wonder what lay beyond the bay. 1
One day, while playing near a cluster of rocks, Tilly spotted something strange caught in the seaweed. It was a piece of old, worn cloth with strange lines and symbols drawn on it. Tilly carefully pulled it free and spread it out on a flat rock. Her eyes grew wide. It was a map! 2
Tilly traced the lines with her flipper. 'This looks like the ocean,' she whispered. 'And here is a path made of arrows.' She studied the map closely. The arrows twisted and turned, showing a route through the ocean. At the end was a drawing of a bright coral garden. Tilly's heart fluttered with excitement and worry. She wanted to go, but she was afraid to go alone. 3
Just then, a shimmering shape darted past her. It was a small fish with silver-blue scales and glowing turquoise stripes. The fish had big round violet eyes and a sucker fin on its head. 'Hello!' the fish chirped. 'I'm Fin. I'm a remora. I know these waters well. What have you found?' 4
Tilly showed Fin the map. Fin's violet eyes sparkled. 'Oh, I know this map! It shows the way to a hidden coral garden. But to get there, you must follow the ocean currents. They are like rivers in the sea. I can help you find them.' Tilly smiled. 'Will you come with me?' she asked. Fin nodded. 'Of course! Friends should stick together.' 5
Tilly tucked the map into her seaweed satchel and fastened it tight. Fin swam beside her, his glowing stripes lighting the way. 'First, we must find the big current that flows past the bay,' Fin explained. They swam past tall, waving seaweed that tickled Tilly's flippers. Friendly fish peeked out and waved their fins as they passed. 6
Soon the water grew cooler, and Tilly felt a strong pull. 'Here's the current!' Fin called. 'Hold on!' The current was fast, and Tilly had to paddle hard. She felt a little scared. 'I don't know if I can do this,' she said. Fin swam close. 'You can! I'll stay right beside you. Just follow my glow.' 7
They rode the current for a long time. Tilly grew tired, and the water became rough. Big waves pushed them this way and that. Tilly felt lost. 'Fin, where are we?' she cried. Fin looked around. 'I'm not sure,' he admitted. 'The current has changed.' Tilly began to worry. But then she remembered the map. 'Let's look at the map together,' she said. 8
Tilly pulled the map from her satchel. Fin studied it with her. 'Look,' Fin said, 'the arrows show we should turn left at the big rock shaped like a star.' Tilly looked around. 'There it is!' she shouted. They turned left, and the water became calm again. Tilly felt proud. 'We did it together,' she said. 9
As they swam on, Fin suddenly tumbled in a swirl of water. 'Help!' he squeaked. The rough water was too strong for his small fins. Tilly quickly swam under him and let him rest on her shell. 'Hold on tight,' she said. Fin clung to her shell. 'Thank you, Tilly,' he said. 'You are a true friend.' 10
They waited until the water grew calm again. Then Fin slid off Tilly's shell. 'We're close now,' Fin said. 'I can feel it.' They swam through a forest of colorful seaweed, past fish of every shape and size. And then, suddenly, the water opened up, and there it was! The coral garden was bright and beautiful, full of colors Tilly had never seen. 11
Tilly gasped. The coral garden was like a rainbow under the sea. Bright pink, orange, and purple corals waved in the gentle current. Tiny fish darted in and out. 'We made it!' Fin cheered. Tilly hugged Fin with her flippers. 'We couldn't have done it without each other,' she said. 12
They explored the coral garden together, marveling at its beauty. Fin showed Tilly a secret cave where tiny seahorses lived. Tilly showed Fin a patch of soft, glowing anemones. They laughed and played, happy to have reached their destination. 'This is the best day ever,' Tilly said. 13
As the sun began to set, Tilly and Fin rested on a smooth rock. 'I learned something today,' Tilly said. 'What's that?' Fin asked. 'Friends can guide one another,' Tilly replied. 'You guided me when I was lost, and I helped you when the water was rough.' Fin nodded. 'And every journey is better together.' 14
They promised to meet again soon. Tilly tucked the map back into her satchel, and Fin swam beside her as they started home. The ocean was calm and peaceful. Tilly knew she would never forget this adventure. She had found a treasure far greater than any map: a true friend. 15
Back in the bay, Tilly waved goodbye to Fin. 'See you tomorrow?' she called. 'Of course!' Fin chirped, his glow sparkling. Tilly swam home with a happy heart. She hung her shell charm on a piece of seaweed and smiled. She had followed the currents, found the coral garden, and made a friend for life.
