The Little Golden Turtle - Author : Aysel Banu YAVUZAL

In the warm, sparkling sea, where sunlight danced on the waves, lived a little golden turtle named Sunny. Sunny had a shiny golden shell with soft amber patterns and warm yellowgreen skin. His big round brown eyes sparkled with curiosity. Around one front flipper, he wore a small woven seaweed band. Every day, Sunny explored the colorful coral reef near his home, always looking for new friends and new adventures. 1

One morning, as Sunny swam past a cluster of pink corals, he saw a shimmer of light. A small fish darted by, leaving a trail of tiny star-shaped sparkles. The fish had shimmering rainbow scales that glowed softly and a silver-white belly. Between her top fins rested a tiny pearl tiara. Her large blue eyes twinkled. Sunny waved a flipper. "Hello! I'm Sunny. What's your name?" The fish smiled. "I'm Pearl!" 2

Pearl swam closer, her translucent fins flowing like ribbons. "I've never seen a turtle with such a beautiful golden shell," she said. Sunny blushed. "And I've never seen a fish with such sparkly scales!" They laughed and swam together through the reef. Pearl told Sunny about the magical places she had seen, and Sunny showed her his favorite hiding spots. They became fast friends, sharing stories and games in the warm sea. 3

One day, Pearl said, "I found something wonderful! A hidden underwater garden, full of bright colors! But it looks sad and needs help." Sunny's eyes widened. "A hidden garden? Let's go see!" They swam through a narrow canyon and past tall kelp. Finally, they reached a secret cove. There, before them, lay a garden like no other. But the colors were faded, and the plants drooped. "Oh no!" Pearl whispered. "It's worse than before." 4

The garden was filled with drooping seaweed, dull corals, and closed-up shells. "We have to help it grow," said Sunny. "But how?" Pearl swam around, thinking. "My glow can help!" she said. She swam close to a drooping plant and let her rainbow scales shine. The plant perked up a little. "It's working!" cried Sunny. "But there's so much to do. We need a plan." They looked at the garden and knew they had to work together. 5

Sunny said, "I can use my strong flippers to dig and move things. You can use your glow to cheer up the plants." Pearl nodded. "And we can ask our friends for help!" They swam back to the reef and told everyone about the garden. "Will you help us?" asked Sunny. The sea friends—a seahorse, a starfish, and a little crab—all agreed. "Teamwork!" cheered Pearl. They all swam to the hidden garden, ready to work. 6

First, Sunny dug small holes and moved rocks. Pearl glowed over the tired plants, and they began to stand up. The seahorse tied seaweed together, the starfish cleaned the shells, and the crab found shiny pebbles to decorate. Everyone worked together. "This is fun!" said the starfish. "We make a great team!" Sunny smiled. He felt proud of his friends. The garden was slowly coming back to life. 7

As they worked, a problem appeared. A big tangle of seaweed blocked the water flow. "The water can't reach the plants!" said Pearl. Sunny tried to pull the seaweed, but it was too strong. "We need to work together," he said. "Everyone grab a piece and pull on three!" They all held on. "One, two, three!" They pulled, and the seaweed came loose. Water flowed freely again. "Hooray!" they cheered. The garden sparkled with new life. 8

Days passed, and the garden grew more beautiful. Bright corals opened, and colorful fish swam in. Pearl's glow made everything shine. Sunny's digging made space for new plants. The sea friends visited often, bringing treasures and stories. "This is the happiest place in the sea!" said the crab. Sunny looked at Pearl. "We did it together." Pearl nodded. "Friends can do anything when they help each other." The garden became a home for all. 9

One morning, Pearl had an idea. "Let's have a party to celebrate our garden!" Sunny agreed. They invited all their sea friends. The seahorse brought music, the starfish brought games, and the crab brought snacks. Everyone danced and laughed. "Thank you, Sunny and Pearl!" they said. "You made this garden wonderful." Sunny and Pearl smiled. They knew that their friendship had made it all possible. The garden was now a place of joy. 10

But then, a sudden storm swept through the sea. The waves tossed and turned. When the storm passed, the garden was a mess again. Plants were uprooted, and shells were scattered. "Oh no!" cried Pearl. "All our work is ruined!" Sunny looked at the garden. "Don't worry, Pearl. We can fix it again. We have our friends and each other. We'll work together." Pearl's eyes brightened. "You're right! Teamwork can do anything." 11

Sunny called all the sea friends. "We need to rebuild the garden. Will you help?" Everyone said yes. They worked side by side, digging, planting, and polishing. Pearl glowed brighter than ever, and Sunny dug with all his might. The seahorse tied, the starfish cleaned, and the crab found new treasures. Slowly, the garden came back to life. "We did it again!" cheered Sunny. "Because we never gave up, and we worked as a team." 12

The garden was even more beautiful than before. New flowers bloomed, and fish from all over came to visit. "This is a magical place," said a little seahorse. "It's because of friendship," said Pearl. "And teamwork," added Sunny. They smiled at each other.
