The Little Dolphin's Secret - Author : Aysel Banu YAVUZAL
Once upon a time, in the big blue ocean, there lived a little dolphin. He was small and round, about the length of a bathtub. His skin was smooth and blue-grey, with a soft white belly. He had big friendly dark eyes and a gentle curved smile. Every day, he swam through the waves, curious about everything he saw. 1
The little dolphin loved to explore. He zipped past colorful fish and leaped over gentle waves. His small dorsal fin cut through the water, and his little tail flapped happily. He wondered what lay beyond the coral reef. "The ocean is so big!" he squeaked. "I want to see it all!" And off he swam, eager for adventure. 2
One sunny morning, as the dolphin played near some seaweed, he noticed a shimmer of rainbow colors. Out peeked a magical cuttlefish! Its soft pear-shaped body sparkled in changing colors. It had large round amber eyes and tiny fin frills along its sides. Gentle glowing spots dotted its skin. The cuttlefish looked shy but curious. 3
"Hello!" said the dolphin with a friendly smile. "I'm a dolphin. What's your name?" The cuttlefish wiggled its short tentacles. "I'm Cuttle," it said softly. "I can change colors to hide or to show how I feel." The dolphin's eyes widened. "That's amazing! I can swim fast and jump high. Want to be friends?" Cuttle's amber eyes glowed. "Yes, please!" 4
From that day on, the dolphin and Cuttle explored the ocean together. The dolphin would zoom ahead, then circle back to check on his friend. Cuttle would change colors to say hello or to point out interesting things. They laughed and played among the seaweed and coral. "Friendship is fun!" the dolphin chirped. Cuttle flashed a happy pink. 5
One afternoon, while chasing a school of tiny fish, the dolphin spotted something strange. A dark opening in the rocky wall of the reef! "Look, Cuttle! A cave!" he called. Cuttle swam closer, his body turning a curious orange. "It looks dark and deep," he whispered. The dolphin felt a thrill of excitement. "Let's explore it!" 6
But as they swam into the cave, the light faded. The dolphin could still see a little with his good eyes, but Cuttle shivered. "It's so dark," Cuttle said. "I'm not sure about this." The dolphin nudged him gently. "Don't worry, I'm here. We can do it together." Cuttle took a deep breath and nodded. 7
Suddenly, Cuttle had an idea. "My color power can glow!" he said. He concentrated, and his skin began to shimmer with a soft, bright light. The glowing spots on his body pulsed like tiny lanterns. The dolphin clapped his fins. "You're a living light!" he cheered. Cuttle blushed a rosy red. "I can light the way!" 8
With Cuttle glowing brightly, the cave lit up around them. The dolphin gasped. The walls were covered in changing colors! Blues and greens swirled, then turned to pinks and purples. "It's like a rainbow cave!" the dolphin squealed. Cuttle's light made the colors dance. They swam deeper, marveling at the magical sight. 9
The cave had many tunnels. The dolphin used his speed to zip ahead and check which way was safe. "This way!" he called, his voice echoing. Cuttle followed, his glow lighting the path. Sometimes the dolphin had to squeeze through narrow gaps, but he was brave and careful. "We make a great team!" Cuttle said, his colors sparkling. 10
Then they reached a big open chamber. In the center was a pile of shiny stones. But the stones were dull and grey. "They look sad," said the dolphin. Cuttle swam closer. "Maybe my colors can help." He touched the stones with his glowing tentacles. Slowly, the stones began to shine with the same rainbow colors as Cuttle! 11
The whole chamber sparkled and glowed. The dolphin danced with joy, leaping and spinning. Cuttle changed colors rapidly, creating a beautiful light show. "We did it!" they cheered together. The once-dark cave was now a magical place full of color and laughter. Their friendship had turned a scary place into something wonderful. 12
After exploring every corner, they swam back out of the cave. The sun was setting over the ocean, painting the sky orange and pink. "That was the best adventure ever!" said the dolphin. Cuttle nodded, his body glowing softly. "Because we did it together," he said. "Your speed and bravery helped me feel safe." 13
The dolphin smiled. "And your colors lit up the darkness. We're different, but that's what makes us strong." They swam home side by side, talking about their secret cave. "Let's keep it our secret," whispered Cuttle. "Our special place." The dolphin agreed. "Friends forever?" he asked. "Friends forever," Cuttle replied, flashing a happy blue. 14
From that day on, the little dolphin and the magical cuttlefish remained the best of friends. They knew that everyone has special abilities. The dolphin was fast and brave; the cuttlefish was clever and colorful. Together, they could do amazing things. And whenever they wanted, they visited their secret cave and remembered the day they lit up the dark. 15
So, if you ever swim in the big ocean, look for a little dolphin with a gentle smile and a cuttlefish with shimmering colors. They might just show you that friendship shines brightest when friends share their different gifts. And somewhere, hidden in the reef, their secret cave still glows with all the colors of the rainbow.
