In the village of Green Hollow, a small round cloud with a curly tail drifts above the rooftops. This is the little cloud puppy, with pale sky-blue eyes and a silver ribbon collar holding a tiny star charm. Below lives Milo, a lonely boy in a mustard-yellow raincoat and red knitted scarf, who often looks up at the sky and wishes for a friend to play with.
One breezy afternoon the cloud puppy floats down and lands beside Milo on a hill. It leads him along a hidden mossy path behind the old oak tree, up into the sky and onto a floating garden where misty flowers bloom and butterflies dance in the breeze. Milo learns to water the cloud flowers and plays among the cloud carrots and cabbages. When a strong wind scatters the blossoms, he and the puppy chase the runaway flowers together and gently restore the garden, discovering that he can be brave and capable.
As the sun sets, the puppy guides Milo home, and the next morning it is waiting on the hill again, ready for new adventures. The story is written for young children and early readers and speaks about loneliness, friendship and working together. Its gentle, imaginative setting offers a calm read-aloud tale for bedtime or the classroom, with a simple lesson about courage and care.

A Chapter from the Book
The Little Cloud Puppy - Author : Aysel Banu YAVUZAL
In the village of Green Hollow, the sky was always busy. Clouds sailed by like fluffy ships, but one cloud was different. It was small and round, with a curly tail like a wisp of mist. This was the little cloud puppy, floating high above the rooftops. It had pale sky-blue eyes and a silver ribbon collar with a tiny star charm that twinkled in the sun. 1
Down in the village lived a boy named Milo. He had warm light-brown skin, curly dark brown hair, and big amber eyes that often looked at the sky. Milo wore a mustard-yellow raincoat with big round buttons, blue rubber boots, and a red knitted scarf. He had a small gap-toothed smile and freckles across his nose. But Milo was lonely. He wished for a friend to play with. 2
One breezy afternoon, Milo sat on a hill and watched the clouds. Suddenly, the little cloud puppy floated down, closer and closer. It landed softly beside him, its fluffy white body no bigger than a loaf of bread. "Hello," Milo whispered. The puppy wagged its misty tail and licked Milo's cheek. Milo laughed. "You're a cloud puppy!" he said. "Will you be my friend?" 3
The cloud puppy barked a happy, tinkly bark. It nudged Milo's satchel and floated up a little, as if to say, "Follow me!" Milo tightened his red scarf and held on to his satchel. The puppy led him to a hidden path behind the old oak tree. The path was made of soft, springy moss that tickled Milo's blue boots. "Where are we going?" Milo asked, his amber eyes wide. 4
The path rose up, up, up into the sky. Milo gasped as they stepped onto a fluffy white cloud. It was solid enough to walk on! The cloud puppy bounced ahead, its tiny paws leaving faint sparkles. "This is amazing!" Milo cried. The puppy barked and pointed its nose toward a garden floating in the sky. Flowers of every color bloomed on soft clouds, and butterflies danced in the breeze. 5
The floating gardens were like nothing Milo had ever seen. Cloud flowers swayed, and their petals were made of soft mist. The cloud puppy led Milo to a patch of sky-blue flowers that smelled like fresh rain. "These are beautiful," Milo said. The puppy wagged its tail and showed Milo how to water the flowers with a tiny cloud watering can. Milo giggled as the water turned into sparkles. 6
As they explored, Milo saw a row of cloud carrots and cloud cabbages. "Do you grow these?" he asked. The puppy nodded and dug playfully, sending puffs of cloud into the air. Milo joined in, and they made cloud angels on a soft, white cloudbank. The puppy's silver star charm jingled as they played. Milo forgot all about being lonely. His imagination soared. 7
But then, a strong wind blew. The floating gardens wobbled, and some cloud flowers floated away. Milo held onto his red scarf as the wind tugged at him. The cloud puppy looked worried. "We have to save the flowers!" Milo shouted. The puppy barked and dashed after a drifting cloud rose. Milo ran too, his blue boots slipping on the soft clouds. 8
Milo and the cloud puppy chased the runaway flowers. Milo caught a cloud daisy in his satchel, and the puppy herded a cloud tulip back with its nose. "Good boy!" Milo cheered. They worked together, laughing as they gathered the flowers. The wind calmed, and the flowers settled back into their cloud beds. The puppy licked Milo's hand, and Milo felt proud and brave. 9
After the wind, the garden looked a little messy. "We can fix it," Milo said. He had an idea. He took the cloud watering can and gently watered each flower. The puppy used its tail to brush away loose cloud puffs. Slowly, the garden bloomed again, brighter than before. "We did it!" Milo said. The puppy's star charm sparkled as if it were smiling. 10
The sun began to set, painting the sky in pink and gold. Milo knew he had to go home. "Will I see you again?" he asked. The cloud puppy barked and licked his cheek. It floated up and made a loop in the air. Then it led Milo back down the mossy path to the old oak tree. Milo hugged the puppy goodbye. "Thank you for the adventure," he whispered. 11
The next morning, Milo woke up and ran to the hill. The little cloud puppy was waiting, its fluffy body glowing in the morning light. "You came back!" Milo cried. The puppy wagged its tail and wore a tiny cloud flower necklace. Milo put the cloud daisy from his satchel behind his ear. "Let's explore more!" he said. And they did, every day after that. 12
Milo and the cloud puppy shared many adventures. They built cloud castles and slid down fluffy cloud slides. They planted more cloud flowers and watched butterflies dance around them. Milo's imagination grew bigger and bigger. He told his friends at school about the floating gardens, and they listened with wide eyes. Milo was no longer lonely. He had a best friend in the sky. 13
One day, the cloud puppy brought Milo a tiny cloud seed. "For you," it seemed to say. Milo planted it in a pot on his windowsill. He watered it every day, and soon a little cloud flower bloomed. It floated just above the pot, glowing softly. Milo showed it to his neighbors, and they smiled. The cloud flower reminded everyone that magic can grow anywhere.
